Timothy O’ Neill – CALLIGRAPHY WORKSHOP: TRADITIONAL IRISH SCRIPT
The workshop will be a practical exploration of Gaelic script, the writing style associated with Irish language texts from the beginning until its official discontinuation in the 1960s.
Examples from medieval manuscripts will be used as a guide to developing a script suitable for personal use today, especially for scripting a poem or quotations.
Materials will be available but participants are encouraged to bring their own pens, pencils and an A4 or A3 Layout Pad.
